EDUCATORS MUTUAL NAMES VICE
PRESIDENT OF WELLNESS
Ben Slaugh to Oversee Wellness at Leading Utah
Benefits Provider
SALT LAKE CITY (May 11, 2010) – Educators Mutual Insurance Association (EMIA), a
nonprofit organization serving the needs of Utah’s public schools and
institutions for 75 years, has named Ben
Slaugh as vice president of wellness.
In this new role, Slaugh will oversee the wellness
department and will build upon the framework of a company-wide wellness program
to be offered to members.
“Slaugh will lead our efforts to launch an
interactive wellness program for our members this year,” said Steve Morrison,
CEO of Educators Mutual. “The health and wellbeing of our members is absolute
priority, so our new wellness program will emulate that approach in providing
the programs and resources needed to further this goal.”
Slaugh was promoted to the position after serving as
an EMIA sales account executive for the past 12 years. During that time, Slaugh
played an important role in EMIA’s efforts to greatly expand its client base
beyond the education industry to other government entities, nonprofit
organizations and private businesses.
