Customized Healthy Lifestyle Plans
SALT LAKE CITY (June 29, 2010) — Educators Mutual Insurance Association (EMIA), a
nonprofit organization serving the needs of Utah’s public schools and
institutions for 75 years, has named Janelle Connell as wellness coach.
In this new role, Connell will serve Educators
Mutual’s members by helping to evaluate individual risk factors, educating them
on lifestyle changes that can help reduce those risks and answering health- and
wellness-related questions. She will develop customized healthy lifestyle plans
to help members set and achieve realistic goals.
“Connell will be a tremendous asset to our wellness
department by providing members with individualized consultations to determine
possible health risks and help them improve their health,” said Steve Morrison,
CEO of Educators Mutual. “The health and well-being of our members is absolute
priority, and our new wellness program reflects that priority in providing the
programs and resources needed to further this goal.”
Connell has a breadth of health and wellness
experience. She earned a bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Brigham Young
University (BYU) and also has experience working at the State Health
