EDUCATORS MUTUAL INSURANCE ASSOCIATION
EMPLOYEE BENEFITS FOR FULL - TIME EMPLOYEES
(PART - TIME EMPLOYEES BENEFITS WILL BE PRO-RATED)

  • Employer Paid Vacation — Non-exempt employees receive 13 1/2 days per calendar year for years one through five of employment. Exempt employees receive 18-½ days vacation for years one through five of employment. Beginning the sixth year, vacation increases one day per year of service to a maximum of 23 ½ days.
  • Employer Paid Holidays — 10 ½ days per calendar year.
  • Employer Paid Sick Leave — 10 days per calendar year. Unused sick leave is placed in a sick leave bank for the employee.
  • Employer Paid Medical Insurance — coverage for employee and eligible dependents.
  • Employer Paid Dental Insurance — coverage for employee and eligible dependents. (Option available for buy-up.)
  • Employer Paid Prescription Card Insurance — coverage for employee and eligible dependents.
  • Employer Paid Long-Term Disability Insurance — coverage for employee only.
  • Optional Short-Term Disability Insurance — coverage for employee only and paid by the employee.
  • Optional Vision Insurance — coverage for employee and eligible dependents and paid for by the employee.
  • Employer Paid Contribution to the State of Utah Retirement System, in the amount of 14.88% of salary for eligible employees. This amount includes 1.5% contribution to the URS 401(k). The amount may be adjusted periodically by the legislature.
  • Employees have the option of making voluntary contributions to the Educators Mutual 401(k) on a tax-deferred basis up to current IRS limits. After one year of employment Educators Mutual makes a contribution equal to 2% of salary for eligible employees (graduating vesting period up to six years).
  • Employer Paid Workers' Compensation Insurance.
  • Employee Assistance Plan.
  • Employer Paid Term Life Insurance — coverage for employee in the amount of $20,000 or 1X salary if salary exceeds $20,000.
  • Employer Paid Dependent Term Life Insurance — coverage for eligible dependents in the amount of $2,420 each.
  • Optional participation in the tax saving Flexible Spending Account (Cafeteria Plan).
  • Accumulated vacation paid at the time of termination or retirement.
  • Payment of eligible sick leave hours at the time of retirement or voluntary termination after nine years of employment. (Eligibility is based on length of service and accumulated hours.)
  • Employer paid $5,000.00 Accidental Death/Dismemberment Policy and Travel Assistance Plan.

In accordance with established policy, Educators Mutual does not allow smoking in any area of the building or on the grounds.

The described employee benefits are in effect at the time of publication. They are subject to change, with prior notice to employees, at the sole discretion of Educators Mutual Insurance Association.
