Medicare Advantage

For the past 70 plus years Educators Mutual has provided exemplary benefits throughout the State of Utah. To this day Educators Mutual remains one of the most flexible local providers of benefits in Utah.

Educators Mutual is a non-profit mutual insurance organization and benefits management company. This means that earnings are passed on to its members in the form of better benefits and discounted rates. Educators Mutual has become a pillar of stability for many organizations by catering to their unique needs.

As many have already discovered, you will find that Educators Mutual is one of the most desirable, logical, and economical choices as your benefits provider.

Educators Mutual welcomes the opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. Either call us, stop by our offices, or let us come to you.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Educators Mutual Medicare Advantage plans are designed to provide benefits at least equal to those provided by Original Medicare as well as additional benefits. Educators Mutual is an MA organization with a Medicare contract.

Benefits are available only to beneficiaries who reside in Utah or nationwide if benefits are obtained through your employer. Benefits are available to beneficiaries through any provider throughout the service area that will accept Educators Mutual’s terms and conditions of payment. Visit www.educatorsmutual.com for more information.

A Medicare Advantage Private Fee-for-Service plan works differently than a Medicare supplement plan. Your doctor or hospital is not required to agree to accept the plan’s terms and conditions, and thus may choose not to treat you, with the exception of emergencies. If your doctor or hospital does not agree to accept our payment terms and conditions, they may choose not to provide health care services to you, except in emergencies. Providers can find the plan’s terms and conditions on our website at: http://www.educatorsmutual.com/ medicareadvantage2009/providertermsandconditions.aspx.

Please see the Summary of Benefits or the Evidence of Coverage for details about your benefits.

Prescription Drug benefits are only available at Educators Mutual Insurance Association retail network pharmacies and the mail-order pharmacy, Medco By Mail (under emergency circumstances, benefits may be obtained out-of-network). For more information call 1-800-820-9731 (TTY/TDD users should call 1-800-716-3231). Pharmacy Customer Service hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (EST) 7 days a week, except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
